Arcigay: Italy united against homophobia. Homosexual kisses in more than 50 cities

A new campaign to raise awareness against homophobia has been launched today in Italy. The campaign, produced by Arcigay in collaboration with other 15 national organizations, will celebrate this year International Day Against Homophobia.

Arcigay will distribute about 23.000 posters and 45.000 leaflets representing gay and lesbian kisses across the whole country. The campaign that will reach more than 50 cities, will also be supported by dozen of events organized by Arcigay’s local branches and by other organizations. In numbers, this campaign is far the most significant campaign against homophobia ever made in Italy.

Arcigay reiterates that the fight against homophobia is a value stated in the Italian Constitution: “It is the responsibility of the Republic to remove economic and social obstacles which constrain the freedom and equality of all citizens, prevent the full development of the human person and the effective participation in the political, economic and social development of the country.”
