COLLE ANONYMOUS AND HOMOPHOBIC FLYER
MAYOR Paolo Brogioni has reported the incident so that those responsible for the flyer can be identified.
The clearly homophobic flyer, clearly intended for election propaganda, that appeared in mailboxes in Colle yesterday is sparking outrage. Signed only by an unidentified Children's Union, the leaflet features images from gay pride parades and asks the question: "Would you give your daughter to them?" It then mentions political leaders who advocate for same-sex marriage and adoption. Arcigay Siena responded immediately and harshly, calling it a "shameful act that misuses the civil and inalienable rights of individuals in a petty, despicable, and highly offensive manner, hiding behind anonymity and playing on the collective imagination of children." Mayor Brogioni went beyond expressing his personal and citywide outrage, announcing on his Facebook page that he had "reported the incident to the relevant authorities so that those responsible can be identified as soon as possible.".
