Bologna, June 27, 2026 Another busy day for Onda Pride 2026, the large-scale demonstration in support of LGBTQIA+ rights organized by Arcigay and other local and national associations, which today features seven marches throughout Italy. Cagliari Sardegna Pride will gather at 5 pm at Parco della Musica, Catania Pride will depart from Piazza Borgo at 5 pm, Napoli Pride will gather at 4 pm in Piazza Giovanni Leone, while Verona Tumulto Pride will gather in Piazza Bra at 4 pm; Giulianova Abruzzo Pride will depart from Piazza del Mare at 4 pm, and Milano Pride will gather at 5 pm on Via Vittorio Pisani in front of the Central Station. Finally, Taranto Human Pride will gather at 5:30 pm in the square in front of the Arsenale.
“"Today we are in seven Italian cities," says Gabriele Piazzoni, Secretary General of Arcigay, "but our thoughts are with Camaiore. With Mirko, 24, killed because he was gay. With Kety, 52, killed because she chose to stand by her son. Homophobia kills. It's not an opinion, it's a fact. And this is the truth that the Meloni government doesn't want to see, that the right denies, that public television downplays while allowing insults and verbal abuse. Patriarchal culture, which decides who has the right to exist and who doesn't, is at the root of this massacre. The same culture that claims to control women, that decides which identities are "acceptable" and which are not. Homophobia and femicide coexist in this tragedy and arise from the same idea that some people have the right to decide how others should live. But we won't stop. Today we are in seven Italian cities, from Cagliari to Milan, from Naples to Verona, to say that there is no liberation without social justice, there is no pride without struggle. And to shout to those who prefer a dead child to a gay one, that you will not make us disappear,“ concludes Piazzoni.
