Rugby Sevens: The Roosters take the fight against homophobia to the field in Munich.

Bologna, September 26, 2014 – The Roosters, the Ferrara-based rugby sevens team, will be traveling across the border tomorrow, September 27, to Munich for the "Oktoberfest Sevens" tournament. Twenty-four teams from Germany, Austria, France, Italy, England, Hong Kong, Hungary, and Poland will participate in the international competition. Thanks to the Roosters, the Arcigay logo will also appear on the pitch, conveying the message of bringing the fight against homophobia and transphobia into sport. The Ferrara-based athletes will wear uniforms created thanks to the partnership with the LGBT association. "Once again," comments Flavio Romani, president of Arcigay, "we thank our Roosters friends, ambassadors of our message of inclusion and the fight against discrimination, even beyond our national borders. We wish them good luck, as well as awareness and civility, with the winged Pegasus of Arcigay." The Roosters will recount their Central European adventure with a “logbook” updated in real time on the team’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/roostersrugby7 .
