Gay rights: Campania Pride is coming, but not everyone will be at the party.

The "Campania Pride" event, a bone of contention for LGBTQ organizations, is coming. The event, aimed at affirming the rights of gay, transgender, lesbian, and intersex people, will be held in Naples on the 25th and is sponsored by the iKen, Link, and Uds associations. Big names like Arcigay and Arcilesbica Napoli are not participating. "Pride is only the name," explains Fabrizio Sorbara, president of Arcigay. "We were not involved. We're leaving members free to participate and Mayor de Magistris to provide moral support, but we will only participate if iKen is truly open." The event, conceived with the aim of uniting in the name of diversity and redemption, risks getting off to a bad start. The associations are standing firm but are determined not to "play into the hands of homophobic politics by creating division.".
«"Enough controversy," replies Carlo Cremona, president of iKen. "The event belongs to everyone. Arcigay should explain why it hasn't organized Pride so far and how much it intends to invest. Caldoro has given its patronage, but we're waiting for de Magistris's, whom we ask to come down on the 25th carrying the city's banner.".
