Arcigay Genova opens a space for reflection on the role of the male figure in today's society entitled “Patriarchy: a possible male (re)action”.
This public event will be the first in a series aimed at reflecting on the role that society requires and imposes on people who are socialized as men. Drawing inspiration from transfeminist practices, which over time have built a long path of elaborating and deconstructing the female role, we intend to undertake a similar journey for men as well.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be attended by:
Matteo Botto, PhD student in sociology at the University of Genoa.
Michela Calabrò, Arcigay's national representative for gender policies and coordinator of Arcigay's Transfeminist Women's Network.
Francesco Ferreri, Cultural anthropologist specializing in gender, sexuality, and the body, and a sex consultant. Content creator known as "Antropoché?" Collaborates with and leads Mica Macho's consciousness-raising groups.
The debate will be moderated by Daniela Pittaluga, psychologist and psychotherapist.[:]
