Arcigay Genova opens a space for reflection on the role of the male figure in today's society entitled “Patriarchy: a possible male (re)action”.
This public event will be the first in a series aimed at reflecting on the role that society requires and imposes on people who are socialized as men. Drawing inspiration from transfeminist practices, which over time have built a long path of elaborating and deconstructing the female role, we intend to undertake a similar journey for men as well.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be attended by:
– Matteo Botto, PhD student in sociology at the University of Genoa.
– Michela Calabrò, Arcigay's national representative for gender policies and coordinator of Arcigay's Transfeminist Women's Network.
– Francesco Ferreri, Cultural anthropologist specializing in gender, sexuality, and the body, and a sex consultant. Content creator known as "Antropoché?" Collaborates with and leads Mica Macho's consciousness-raising groups.
The debate will be moderated by Daniela Pittaluga, psychologist and psychotherapist.[:]
