[:it]Arcigay Viterbo regarding the TusciaPride of June 7, 2025[:]

[:it]Arcigay Viterbo intends to share with the community its position regarding the Pride scheduled for June 7, 2025. After careful consideration, we have in fact decided not to join to the 2025 edition of the event.

To date, just two days before the demonstration, no political manifesto has been made public that clearly articulates the initiative's objectives, demands, and vision. We would like to emphasize that the manifesto is not an ancillary component of a demonstration, but is, or should be, its primary and sole foundation. Furthermore, the organizational methods and funding are opaque, and there is a lack of shared coordination that would allow for the true involvement of LGBT+ associations and local allies.

Arcigay Viterbo Since its inception, it has aimed to build a constant presence in the local community, with an annual program of reception, cultural events, training, counseling services, and anti-discrimination interventions. Precisely for this reason, we feel a responsibility to support a Pride model that arises from a collective, open, and participatory journey, and that is an authentic expression of the plurality of our community.

In this direction, we have already proposed and will continue to propose the creation of a space for democratic dialogue between LGBT+ associations and allied entities, capable of fostering the sharing of ideas, best practices, skills, and resources, and of creating a Pride event built together, starting from inalienable shared values.

We believe in a plural, transfeminist, and intersectional Pride that isn't just a symbolic event, but the shared fruit of a journey built over time. A Pride born from the encounter of diverse subjectivities, nourished by the daily work of cultural dissemination, acceptance, and the fight against discrimination, and giving public form to a commitment that daily sows connection, visibility, and liberation.
