Progetto Wilson – Macroarea sud Reggio Calabria

It took place in Reggio Calabria on November 22nd and 23rd the first stage of the Southern Macroarea of the WILSON national project. The project was born as an empathetic and structured response to the involuntary loneliness that plagues the LGBTQIA+ community. This initiative, which begins with an inclusive and caring approach to the community, aims to overcome the unique challenges arising from systemic discrimination, social isolation, and cultural dynamics. The current context, although marked by advances in awareness and acceptance, continues to present regulatory and social gaps that impact the safety and well-being of LGBTQIA+ people.

The expected results are:
Raising awareness and knowledge of issues related to involuntary loneliness in the LGBTQIA+ community;
Increase the skills of volunteers working in committee services and activities;
Developing new interventions to address involuntary loneliness.
