The members of Arcigay Sondrio Omoselvadego met last Monday at the Arci headquarters to finalize the work for the coming months. Aurelio Mancuso, Arcigay National Secretary, attended the meeting, with whom the members discussed the goals to be achieved in the coming months.
In addition to participating in the Milan Gay Pride on Saturday, June 5th, Arcigay Sondrio has decided to launch a website that will provide information on its activities and can be used by local gays as a communication and networking tool.
The province of Sondrio is characterized as a mountainous area rich in beautiful valleys and tourist attractions both in winter and summer. Omoselvadego therefore intends to offer trips, excursions, and days in the snow, offering the opportunity to attract gay people from all over Italy.
Being a mountain community, in fact, also entails the risk of greater isolation for gays living in small towns, sometimes far from major centers. For all these reasons, Arcigay Sondrio will focus on social gatherings, including social gatherings, organizing dinners, meetings, and evenings both in the capital and in several municipalities in the province.
“"Being Arcigay in a community like Sondrio," Mancuso emphasized, "means facing significant challenges, but at the same time, it can become a point of reference for highly active and cohesive communities, as has happened in several peripheral provinces.".
