International Photography Competition

The socio-cultural association “L'ANGOLO del MONDO”, registered in the Ligurian Regional Register of Volunteering, promotes the photography competition, open to professional and amateur photographers, men and women, who have in any case reached the age of 18.
Participation is FREE. Any catalogue (paper or CD-ROM) that follows the exhibition will be available for sale at a price to be determined, and in any case, it is not for profit.
Photos must have a maximum size of 30 x 22 cm (standard A4 paper). Larger formats will be accepted, with secure shipping at the sender's expense. Color or black-and-white photos, or digitally processed versions, taken between 2004 and 2007 may be submitted.
The theme of the competition, in its many facets, between heterosexual or LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender) subjects, wants to find the multiple facets of the COUPLE in our lives, to bring it back into a framework of "normality" where, on the contrary, what is important is loving another person.
Each photograph (maximum 3 per participant) must be accompanied, on the back, by the photographer's name and surname, age, year and place of photograph, and any title assigned by the photographer. The photographer's address should also be included. Email contact information is appreciated to expedite communication.
Photos submitted anonymously will not be accepted, but if the author wishes to conceal his or her personal details from the public, he or she must make this clear when submitting the material, without having to provide any explanation.
The prizes are, for now, classified as: a cup for the 1st place, two plaques for the 2nd and 3rd place, special prizes from the jury (in the form of diplomas) for photographs deemed original or conveying a particular message.
The competition, once concluded, will culminate in the awards ceremony and will lead to the exhibition of ALL the admitted photographs, which will take place at the association's premises in Sanremo, or in a suitable location to be determined in agreement with the Department of Culture, Libraries and Museums of the Municipality of Sanremo.
All submitted material will remain the property of the association, which will use it in its most appropriate social context.
Photographs will be accepted without discrimination, except for those that might be offensive to common morality (i.e., overtly pornographic, or containing content that is harmful to the people portrayed, or to the condition of women, men, or transgender people, or that have obvious paedophilic overtones).
A composite jury will ensure that unnecessary and malicious censure is avoided in this regard.
By participating in the competition, you implicitly accept these brief clauses.
