Families Night

On Saturday 12 May part of the Catholic world will gather in Rome for the “Family Day”. A demonstration, clearly born in response to the government's proposal by the Dico, which aims to promote a single family model: the one described in the CEI manifesto.

“Family Day” is the product of the “Non possumus” movement, an ancestral concept of family that does not include de facto families, that is, unmarried couples who live together on a stable basis, with or without children, or even family units made up of homosexual couples or a single parent and their recognized children.

We believe that these other families should also be recognized as having the rights already acquired in the vast majority of European countries, especially with respect for the feeling that most characterizes these unions: that is, love.

For this reason, we are launching, with the strength of dialogue and “Possumus", the “Families Night”.

The night before May 12th, the’May 11th at 9:30 pm, let's light a candle in the windows of our houses, Let us light the hope of rights for all families, let us illuminate the night from the obscurantism of those who persist in refusing to consider all forms of love equal.

To ensure the success of the initiative, we ask you to publicize the initiative on your blogs with dedicated posts.
We also have a banner (the code is in the right-hand column) and a flyer available, which you can use to engage the residents of your home.

In the days following "Families Night," please send us photos of your candlelit building facades. They will then be published on this blog as a reminder of the initiative.
