The very ethereal Ramazzotti

In a long interview given to the Corriere della Sera Magazine, Eros Ramazzotti complains about the malicious people who continue to insinuate that he is gay, while he replies ""I'm completely straight. And yet…I can be with dozens of women, but they still say I'm gay.".

The Roman singer then returns to the issue reiterating his heterosexuality and having had strong doubts about doing the duet with Ricky Martin with the song "We are not alone", because this would have given new life to the rumors about his supposed homosexuality.

Dear Eros, why this need to affirm your super heterosexuality? What's the problem if you were gay? Why do you need to defend yourself by saying you've had lots of women?

This macho emphasis on your sexuality, which disappoints many of your fans, who don't give a damn about your sexual orientation, reveals a problem that is perhaps linked to your view of sexuality.

The world of pop music and entertainment in general in Italy reveals all its subservience to stereotypical models of hypocritical respectability. In fact, hordes of homosexuals camouflage themselves with improbable heterosexual stories, exposing their comical virility on every talk show. We are happy that Ramazzotti is part of the category of the very ethereal, will save us the pain of seeing him also ridiculously hiding a homosexual orientation, of which we should be proud.
