Different from whom?

  

The initiatives of CIRCOMASSIMO Arcigay and Arcilesbica of Ferrara continue on the occasion of the National Pride to be held in Bologna on June 28th.

On the program three meetings to try to understand and delve deeper into three different themes which have in common the fact that they are often treated with little knowledge and a strong dose of prejudice which dangerously alters the reality of the facts.

The first meeting will be held Tuesday, June 10, at the Cafè de la Paix, in Piazzetta Corelli 24 at 9 p.m..
Title of the evening:
“Meeting on Transsexuality: From Total Exclusion to Partial Inclusion.”.
Three guests will discuss issues related to transsexuality, the progress that has been made over the years, the needs and wants of transgender people, the rights still denied, and a terrifying bureaucracy:
– Simone Cangelosi – director from Bologna, author of the short film “Dalla testa ai piedi” which will be screened during the evening, and which tells of his experience as a transsexual “F to M” (female to male, or from woman to man)
– Porpora Marcasciano – Historic activist of the Italian transsexual movement, sociologist, writer
– Elisa Arfini – sociologist, author of “Writing Sex”
