Genoa Pride Village

  

The 2009 national Genoa Pride brings the Genoa Pride Village to the city. From June 13th to 28th, the Genoese summer will be animated by two weeks of live concerts, disco nights, talk shows. At the Arena del Mare (Old Port Area) There will be innovative exhibition stands, a bar, a restaurant, and Genoa's first LGBTQI book fair, which will host daily book presentations.

“The Genova Pride Village is the event that was missing from the Genoese summer and will mark the countdown to the great National LGBTQI Pride demonstration on June 27th” – declares Alberto Villa, spokesperson for the Genova Pride Committee – “It will be a large social space open to everyone. which offers aperitifs, dinners, music, shopping, literature, cabaret and where you can dance and have fun until late at night.”

The June 13th It opens with a great show offered to the city, the Genova Pride Village Show, presented by Antonio Berardinelli and Max Loriga, which will be attended, among others, by the winner of Sanremo Nuove Proposte Arisa, Dennis Fantina, Jo Squillo, and impersonator Giorgio Costa. The Village Party will begin at 11:30 p.m., followed by a disco night with DJ Goblin, Village resident DJ Danilo Quaranta, and resident drag queen Agatha Hinmann. Special guest: John Biancale, vocalist of the evening.

Great emphasis will be placed on the LGBTQI Book Fair which will see guests among others, over the course of the two weeks, to tell their stories and novels to the city: Nicola Lecca, Gabriella Romano, Walter Manzoni, Eliana Matania Ruggero, Delia Vaccarello, Sara Sajetti, Astrid Frigerio, Barbara Rendina, Giancarlo Pastore, Alessio Pola, Nicolas Bendini, Andrea Bergamini, Paolo Colombo, Sciltian Gastaldi.

Throughout the entire period, the Genova Pride Village will host disco nights organized by Genoese clubs such as Virgo Disco Club, Hot Vibes, Kiss Polly, and Beautiful Looser. Highlights will be the Genoese evening with I Trilli on Saturday the 20th, the concert by Dolcenera Wednesday 24th, the evening before the event on Friday 26th with international DJs.
