Dear members,
As you may know, since October 2009, we have been carrying out in the schools of the region a project, ""At school to get to know each other"", aimed at addressing and combating the phenomenon of homophobic bullying and homophobia in general.
In a first series of meetings, mainly informative in nature, we met 22 classes of the three-year high school period, for a total of approximately 330 girls and boys.
The second series of meetings, which began a few days ago and will continue until the end of May, will again involve the same classes in a more hands-on approach, encouraging discussion and dialogue with students. To this end, a volunteer will be present to foster direct contact, a key tool for reducing and beginning to dismantle stereotypes and prejudices against homosexuals.
We believe it is important to involve a large number of volunteers, based on a short training session.
