TORRE DEL LAGO. The election for Mister Gay Italy 2011 is underway. Tonight, at 11 p.m., fourteen finalists from across Italy will compete for the title in the competition reserved for homosexuals. For the first time, however, it will be hosted by a heterosexual: the versatile and hilarious actor Paolo Ruffini. The contestants (dancers, students, and even an anesthesiologist) will be selected by a jury of prominent figures from the worlds of Italian gay and lesbian culture, politics, and journalism. Among the names: Paolo Patanè, president of Arcigay Nazionale, Giulio Spatola, Mister Gay 2010 and Mister Gay Europe 2011.
