NOVEMBER 20 – TRANSGENDER DAY OF REMEMBRANCE: the activists of the Trans Group of Arcigay Palermo will be present with a Information booth in Via Generale Magliocco (corner of Via Ruggero Settimo), from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
“A look too many, a name imposed instead of the one chosen, a punch in the teeth, a punishing silence, a poorly written newspaper article, a suffocating invisibility, a ridiculed visibility, a corrective rape, the stigma of prejudice, the denied freedom to be comfortable with yourself, doctors, psychiatrists and courts who decide for you, an unjust death for the simple fact of being what you are.
Being a victim of transphobia isn't just about death, but about life itself.
In memory of every victim killed by transphobia and in support of all those trans* people who have the right to live without fear.”[:en]
