Arcigay Viterbo is happy to announce that Saturday, September 28, starting from 5pm, the official inauguration of the new headquarters of Arcigay Viterbo will take place, located in Via Vicenza n.° 13 (Viterbo). This event marks a milestone for the local LGBT+ community, which will finally have a dedicated physical space, an inclusive hub where they can meet, discuss, and find support.
The new Arcigay Viterbo headquarters is much more than just a meeting place: it will be a safe and accessible hub, where new initiatives can emerge and the commitment to the rights and visibility of LGBT+ people can be strengthened. In this space, the community will find acceptance, solidarity, and new opportunities for growth, contributing to the construction of a more equal and diverse society.
On the occasion of the inauguration, we invite everyone to participate by wearing a green item or accessory. This choice of color has a special meaning: not only does it recall a color historically linked to the LGBT+ community, but it also aims to overturn the stigma associated with the case of so-called Green Ballets, an episode of persecution that severely affected LGBT+ people in Italy. Wearing green will therefore represent a gesture of pride and resistance, transforming a symbol of oppression into a sign of pride and courage.
