Vico di Napoli, per le diverse repliche della Resistenza Negata Of Fortunato Calvino, messe in scena, al Kodokan – Real Albergo dei Poveri, grazie al progetto “Le famiglie che costruiamo, le famiglie che difendiamo” di Antinoo Arcigay Naples in occasione della rassegna Natale a Napoli, Altri Natali of the Municipality of Naples.
“THE RESISTANCE DENIED”, winner of the 2020 Carlo Annoni Playwriting Prize, focuses on Arcangelo, a partisan in Naples during the Four Days of Naples and its Resistance, who recounts his youth in arms to his nephew. Arcangelo evokes the afterthoughts of those who fought against the Nazis in an unequal struggle; the dead and those who survived captivity. But above all, those who fought for freedom: among them many women and femminielli, like Mariasole. Arcangelo and Mariasole love each other, and will fight together to liberate the city from the Germans. In a finale with heroic overtones.
La Resistenza Degata, staged at the Campania Teatro Festiva, acclaimed by critics and audiences, represents an international unicum in remembering the leading role of women and homosexuals, transsexuals, and "femminielli" people, long guiltily forgotten by history.
