A Rainbow Bench, a protest against all forms of discrimination, was inaugurated by the Hon. Francesco Aiello, the Councilor for Social Policies and Equal Opportunities Francesca Corbino, and Councilor Cesare Campailla, along with the local leadership of Arcigay Ragusa.

During the event, an important announcement was made by Councillor Corbino: the municipal administration of Vittoria will become part of the project. RE.A.DY,
The Italian Network of Regions, Autonomous Provinces, and Local Authorities committed to preventing, combating, and overcoming discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, including at the intersection of other factors of discrimination—gender, disability, ethnic origin, religious orientation, and age—recognized by the Constitution, European Union, and international law.
Andrea Ragusa, President of Arcigay Ragusa and National Councillor of Arcigay, spoke to thank the municipal administration, underlining that even small gestures are important and never to be taken for granted, and that Vittoria and the people of Vittoria are at the heart of Arcigay Ragusa.
The Mayor of Vittoria, the Hon. Francesco Aiello, also spoke, underlining that fighting for tolerance means fighting for everyone's rights, for peace, for relationships between people. Being tolerant means achieving a level of awareness that helps to administer well and see things in a different way. He thanked Arcigay Ragusa for being there and reminded people that the administration is only doing its duty.
