The first edition of Molise Pride, which involved the city of Campobasso, was a resounding success. A huge turnout, with over three thousand participants, confirmed the overwhelming response from a city that has proven to be at the forefront of the movement.
Mayor Antonio Battista spoke, while Regional President Toma took to the streets to begin the demonstration.
Campobasso has demonstrated that it is not homophobic and that, together with the institutions, it is necessary to undertake a concrete action against homophobia. Today, Campobasso and Molise have demonstrated that they are a source of pride throughout Italy, a city and a region that do not exclude. This is what the organizers of Arcigay Molise wrote in a statement, reminding us that no one should ever again flee this region because of homophobia.
