The Cassero LGBTQIA+ Center is looking for:

a figure of Press Office Officer to be inserted into your organizational chart.

The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating the complex political and associative richness of Cassero outside the club, particularly managing relationships with various media outlets. The press officer's primary responsibility will be to write press releases regarding Cassero's political, social, and cultural initiatives.

Commitment to be carried out on-site and/or remotely.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • writing press releases
  • management of the Cassero press mailing list and relations with the media
  • activities to promote the political, social and cultural initiatives of the club
  • ad hoc press review during press conferences, press release launches and relevant events
  • liaison with the management, the communications manager and other relevant figures

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • previous journalistic experience will be considered positively
  • previous knowledge of LGBTQIA+ history, culture and politics, particularly in the city with respect to Bologna's political dynamics, but also nationally and internationally
  • knowledge of the main social and cultural actors of the city of Bologna
  • good knowledge of the cultural and political production of the Cassero LGBTQIA+ Center
  • experience in LGBTQIA+ activism
  • excellent comprehension and written text production skills
  • knowledge and ability to use computer programs and applications involved in press office tasks
  • knowledge and understanding of the Italian language
  • knowledge and understanding of the English language
  • good interpersonal skills
  • predisposition to teamwork
  • active listening skills
  • problem-solving attitude
  • precision and reliability
  • creativity
  • flexibility, timeliness and availability to work flexible hours, even remotely
  • availability for continuous training
  • desire for personal and professional growth within the association
