The Ligurian Order of Psychologists is organizing an informational meeting on homosexuality, open to the public, on Friday, March 4th, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Sala della Piramide (Pyramid Hall) at the Revenue Agency, Via Fiume 2, Genoa. The Order has already expressed an important position in the attached press release.
“"I want to thank the Ligurian Order of Psychologists," says Valerio Barbini, President of Arcigay Genova, "for their work in providing clarity, which comes at just the right time, out of the storm of controversy we've been forced into over the past few weeks."”
“"The conference," Barbini continues, "with important national speakers such as Dr. Vittorio Lingiardi, Dr. Ferranini, a Genoese national president of the Italian Society of Psychiatry, speakers from the LGBT community such as Rita De Santis, National President of Agedo, Rebecca Zini, National Health Director of Arcigay, and Gianni Geraci, representing LGBT believers, as well as the presidents of the Genoese Medical and Psychiatric Associations, will be a great opportunity to discuss the case and provide scientific clarification of an undoubtedly high standard. I invite all Genoese citizens who are interested in learning more.".
“"I know that the Order—Barbini continued—has also invited Bishop Rigon. I hope that the Order's mediation, following the signs of openness received from Attorney Ispodamia, can be the right guarantee for us to finally meet and clarify matters in person. It would be a great opportunity for us and for the Church, and together we would truly send a positive signal to the City.".
