Arcigay Genova: More rights and information means prevention.

  

Even today, after 30 years, we cannot define HIV infection as curable. The only valid recipe for properly managing the epidemic consists of solid prevention policies, widespread and accurate information, especially among the youngest, adequate social and health care, drug availability, advocacy for rights, and the fight against stigma in every context.
In Italy, a stereotypical mentality towards women, homosexuals, and sexual freedom has led to the prevailing belief that only certain categories were at risk, somehow "guilty" of what happened to them.

On December 1st, World AIDS Day, they distribute condoms and informational materials during school closing hours, aware that educating young people is essential to overcoming the impasse created by years of bad policies and poor information.

Volunteers will be present on Via San Vincenzo, corner of Via Orti Sauli, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., ready to provide information to anyone who requests it.
