Arcigay Milan. Homophobic attack in Lombardy.

Homophobic attack in Lombardy, where the individual is at the center, but homosexuals are only at the center of discrimination.

Overnight in Luino, in the province of Varese, at a well-known nightclub in the hamlet of Germignaga, seven young men, including Marco Coppola, provincial president of Arcigay Verbania and a member of the association's national secretariat, were the victims of a very serious homophobic attack by the club's security.
The boys were just dancing among themselves when, “identified” as homosexuals, they were forced to get off, insulted, brutally beaten and finally removed from the club.
At the boys' request, the Carabinieri intervened and provided them with immediate treatment at the local hospital's emergency room, where the relevant medical reports were produced.
Marco Mori, president of Arcigay Milan, states: "Over the past two decades, Lombardy has been characterized by a government and administrators incapable of focusing on rights and the fight against discrimination. However, attention seems to have shifted elsewhere, as the news reports of recent months demonstrate. It is essential that policies of information, education, and respect for diversity be implemented throughout Lombardy at every administrative level.
My solidarity goes to Marco Coppola and the other young men, and the committee offers its full support for any local and legal action.
Those in Lombardy who pride themselves on putting people first should finally realize that their policies have failed and are geared toward social exclusion rather than progress and civilization.
