Monsignor Paolo Rigon missed an excellent opportunity to remain silent.
His comment on homosexuality, expressed on the occasion of the inauguration of the ecclesiastical judicial year, is not only violently homophobic and dangerous, but also makes him a grave sinner according to the eighth commandment: "Thou shalt not bear false witness.".
Rigon revives Nazi methods with his idea that homosexuality is a “problem to be eradicated” and commits a very grave sin in affirming that homosexuality can be overcome with psychotherapy.
This is completely false testimony. We therefore invite him to confess privately and publicly apologize for such bitterness. Then, regarding homosexuality, he should begin to remain silent again: only in this way will he benefit himself and his fellow man.
