During the wonderful 2011 Italian Pride season, the General Assembly of the LGBTQI movement in Campania worked to establish the Campania Rainbow Coordination Center, an organization that brings together trans, lesbian, and gay groups in the region, working in synergy with all associations that share their mission of fighting homophobia and transphobia and promoting civil rights. The primary goal of the coordination center will therefore be to implement actions and strategies that raise awareness among the Campania population about the culture of diversity and to implement initiatives aimed at protecting and promoting the rights of equality and freedom for gays, lesbians, and transgender people.
The Campania Rainbow Coordination, which already boasts a significant number of organizations at the time of its founding, will be open to welcoming all associations that identify with its objectives and practices.
Campania Rainbow will present itself to the press on Thursday, July 7th at 11:00 a.m.
at the Multimedia Hall of the Municipality of Naples in Via Verdi.
The following were invited to the press conference:
the President of the Campania Region, the Presidents of the five Provinces and the Mayors of the five capital cities.
