Homotransphobia: The Campania Region approves the law. Arcigay: "Regional authorities provide a boost to Parliament."“

Bologna, August 6, 2020 "We welcome the news of the approval of the regional law against homotransphobia yesterday in the Campania legislative assembly," said Gabriele Piazzoni, Arcigay general secretary. "One by one," he continued, "the battles that associations have been waging for years within their local authorities are reaching their goal, and in this sense, I want to convey the applause of all of Arcigay to the activists who fought for this result in Campania and who can finally celebrate today. All these battles, however, are still awaiting the larger battle, that for a national law. We trust that these signals will be taken up by our Parliament and, when the chamber resumes its work after the summer recess, will translate into the swift approval of an effective law.".
