June 28, 2025 While a delegation from Arcigay is participating in the banned Pride parade in Budapest, six marches will be marching through cities today, marking the anniversary of the Stonewall riots, for Onda Pride, the large-scale national demonstration organized by Arcigay and other local and national associations. Rivolta Pride will be marching today in Bologna, meeting at 3:30 PM in the Giardini Margherita, while Südtirol Pride will be making its debut in Bolzano, meeting at 3:00 PM and departing from Piazza Verdi. Milan Pride has scheduled its gathering at 3:00 PM in Via Vittorio Pisani, while Salerno Pride will be marching at 3:00 PM.
will start at 5:30 pm from Corso Vittorio Emanuele; in Sardinia the Sassari Pride parade will take place with a gathering at 5 pm in Piazza Università, while tomorrow
It will be Sicily's turn with the Ragusa Pride: departure at 6:30 pm from Porto Venere.
Gabriele Piazzoni, Arcigay general secretary, currently in Budapest with the Italian delegation: "While we resist Orbán's shameful ban on Pride here, with the silent complicity of some European governments, including our own, six major marches in Italy will give us strength and tenacity, to reaffirm once again that Italy does not want to backtrack on civil rights. In Budapest," Piazzoni continues, "the government banned Pride but authorized three neo-Nazi demonstrations. This is a grave political decision that demonstrates the illiberal drift of this government. This makes our presence here even more symbolic. Today, our rainbow is the antibody and the antidote to the poison of the new fascisms attempting to reconquer Europe.".
