"Our mobilization for rights has passed its halfway point," says Gabriele Piazzoni, general secretary of Arcigay. "Thirty pride marches have already swept across our country, bringing approximately two million people into the streets. Those people bring to the streets a demand for rights and full equality that is constantly dashed by the silence, superficiality, and procrastination of politicians.
