Bologna, July 3, 2015 – After the large crowds that filled the streets of six major cities last Saturday, June 27th, three new events will take up the baton of Onda Pride tomorrow, the large-scale mobilization for the rights of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) people: Genoa, Foggia, and Catania will be the three cities hosting the Pride marches tomorrow. In Genoa, in particular, the gathering is scheduled for 4:30 PM in Piazza Verdi/Via Cadorna. From there, the procession will depart and cross the city, covering over three kilometers, reaching Porto Antico, in the area in front of Mandraccio (http://www.liguriapride.it). The Puglia Pride will instead start from Piazza Italia, in Foggia, at 5.30 pm and from there it will parade led by Vladimir Luxuria, godmother of the event (http://www.pugliapride.com). Finally in Catania the Pride meeting is set for 5pm in Piazza Cavour (http://cataniapride.com). "The country has been mobilizing for weeks now to reiterate its demand for rights," comments Flavio Romani, president of Arcigay. "In every city, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people are gathering widespread support from local communities, to the point of transforming Pride into one of the most impressive secular demonstrations in our republican history. The country, in short, is with us. I wish Genoa, Foggia, and Catania an extraordinary day, capable of injecting everyone with enthusiasm for the possibility of a better country.".
