Pride Wave: Six marches for rights today: Dolo, Messina, Pavia, Ascoli Piceno, Taranto, and Turin

June 7, 2025 – The Pride Wave, the large national demonstration in support of LGBTQIA+ rights organized by Arcigay and other associations, is accelerating with six events scheduled today throughout Italy. Today is Pride Day in Pain (VE) – meeting at 5pm in Piazza Cantiere – in Messina – departure at 4.30pm from Piazza Antonello – a Pavia – gathering at 4pm in Piazzale Ghinaglia, Ascoli Piceno  – Gathering at 3:30 PM at the Public Gardens on Corso Vittorio Emanuele – Taranto – meeting at 6pm in Piazza della Vittoria – and  Turin – procession at 4:30 pm from Corso Principe Eugenio.

“In the next few days – he declares Gabriele Piazzoni, general secretary of Arcigay, ”the country is called to the polls to express its opinion on two central issues: work and citizenship. This event shows us the way: civil rights go hand in hand with social rights. We cannot accept merely formal equality while economic and social inequalities are growing. We want bread and roses: the right to dignified work and a free and full existence, without discrimination. As the LGBTQIA+ community, we know well that there can be no true liberation without social justice. That is why today, as we take to the streets in six cities, we reiterate our call to exercise the right to vote en masse in the coming days. Today's Pride parades are a clear signal: our fight is intersectional,” concludes Piazzoni.
