Bologna, September 20, 2025 – The 2025 Pride Wave arrives in Campania and Valtellina today with Vesuvio Pride in Castellammare di Stabia (meeting at 4:30 pm at Marina di Stabia) and Valtellina-Chiavenna Pride in Sondrio (meeting at 3 pm at Policampus). The two events take place a week after Forty Queer, the major celebration and event celebrating Arcigay's 40th anniversary, scheduled for September 26-28 in Rome.
“Today, Vesuvio Pride and Valtellina-Chiavenna Pride are picking up the baton of a majestic wave of pride that has swept across our country all summer and will conclude next week with Arcore Brianza Pride, the final event of Onda Pride 2025. But above all, today we begin the countdown to Forty Queer, the celebration of our first 40 years of activity. On September 26-28 in Rome, we will recount four decades of struggle, from the first street protests to civil unions, from laws against homotransphobia to the visibility of non-binary people. Thousands of us will say: the LGBTQIA+ community does not stop. Forty years is just the beginning: faced with a government that is trying to dismantle rights, we respond with more pride, more visibility, and more demonstrations in the streets,” concludes Piazzoni.
