#HoSomethingToTellYou it's a common incipit, but for many LGBTI people, young and old, it is a phrase that means a lot moreover. Declare your sexual orientation without fear to one's parents, friends, colleagues, children, is a gesture that, on the one hand, unfortunately still requires courage and pride, but on the other, it produces change, both personal and social. “Coming Out” is a fundamental and essential process in the life of an LGBTI person, which does not end in a single phase of life, perhaps the most difficult and critical, but continues in different forms and measures throughout one's life.
Our goal
Encourage “coming out” not just as a personal gesture of love towards oneself and who one really is, but also to generate a change of perspective, personal and collective, in the person receiving the declaration.
What we want to do
- a permanent communication campaign on coming out, thanks to a website which collects positive experiences in various life contexts, and resources and materials on coming out;
- a permanent collective mobilization through social media consisting of the circulation and collection of coming out declarations, in photo or video format, accompanied by the hashtag #hoqualosadadirvi which will also be hosted on the site;
- specific celebratory initiatives during Coming Out Day, on October 11th of each year, the calendar of which will be hosted on the site www.comingoutday.it.
