You read “The Outcasts”" by Rose Allatini? If not, we still invite you to attend the last literary event of the season, because it will be the main theme of our next book club meeting!
Dennis is a young musician who opposes the war for pacifist reasons. He experiences an internal conflict related to his homosexuality, an aspect that makes him an "outcast" in British society at the time. Through his experiences and relationships—particularly with a woman who challenges gender norms and shares his pacifism—the novel explores alienation, social rejection, and the difficulties faced by those who do not conform to social expectations.
We'll discuss the reading we've covered over the past few months, and anyone who wishes will be able to share their opinions, concerns, and criticisms.
Even those who haven't read or finished the book can participate.
As always, we'll be accompanied by tea, herbal teas and sweets =)
