The stage design and direction are by Silvio Laviano, an actor and director from Catania who has always been close to the struggles for rights of the LGBT community.
During the days of the show's programming, a garrison of Arcigay Catania will be present at the Coppola Theater.

And here's what he writes Silvio Laviano in the director's notes:
This year, the SETA Project has decided to explore the eternal archetypes of Death and Love…or, if you will, the Death of Love. The inseparability of the two elements, the very human union of the’love obsession and the impossibility of the receive Love.
The choice to confront two seemingly impossible authors, the British "lesbian and suicidal" Sarah Kane and the "Catanese, too Catanian" Nino Martoglio, is deliberate and arises from the urgent need to construct a tragicomic and cruel tale. Both, in different times and places, describe their city, their neighborhood, their airless urban agglomerations, suburban love, the youthful anger that leads to "madness" and aggression, the blood and the atavistic need to breathe the street. Both describe ANGER through cutting words, syncopations, dialect as slang, the disease of emerging and fulfilling oneself in the possibility of love. The English suburbs and the Civita meet in characters where social relationships experienced as nightmares give way to the (severed) tongues of the victims, granting only in the agony the possibility of self-affirmation, transporting the action to a city in the "south of the world." A waterless city made of stone and noise. Cinematically, the various "episodes" will follow one another in increasingly bloody sequence changes, where the broken grammar of Kane's "Elizabethan novel" and Martoglio's dialect, steeped in honor killings, will give rise to a "sweet and a little salty" action, a bittersweet life where simply getting the "dosage" wrong with an ingredient is enough to die a sickly sweet death or let one live too bitterly. Above all this will hover the ghost of Artaud and the poetics of "cruauté.". Go mad and die or become sane and unhealthy (A. Artaud).
IN LOVE It tells of a city—a Sapphic Female, a murderous Mother, a Dirty Whore who promises a lava-like Love frozen in syphilitic death. A Whore Love who lives its Recreation dripping salty tears from a Purifying Sea.
