Yesterday, Arcigay President Paolo Patanè attended the presentation of Istat's 2010 annual report at the Chamber of Deputies.
This is the first time Istat has invited and accredited an association to present the report, and it is a sign of the collaboration that Istat and Arcigay have developed over time.
It was also an opportunity for the association to meet with the President of the National Institute of Statistics, Enrico Giovannini, the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Gianfranco Fini, and numerous representatives of public and private institutions, including Emma Marcegaglia of Confindustria.
Arcigay's presence at the presentation of ISTAT's annual report is part of the association's strategy of engaging and developing synergies with public and private organizations and institutions to make the fight for full citizenship for gay, lesbian, and transgender Italians more effective and truly inclusive.
