To celebrate the International Day Against Homophobia, over the weekend of May 16th and 17th, twenty cities across Italy will raise their hearts in the Piazzate d'Amore, a flashmob that will mobilize homosexuals, heterosexuals, and bisexuals, all behind a symbol—a heart and an equal—to unite the values of love and equality, to demand the application of Article 3 of the Constitution. "Loves in all their extreme diversity will take to the streets to demand that all be equal before the law." #LoStessoSi is the hashtag characterizing this mobilization on social media. Because the best law against homophobia is a law that ensures full equality for same-sex couples.
Below is a map of the "Piazzate" (squares) on May 16th and 17th. Next weekend, May 23rd and 14th, hearts will also be raised in the squares of Messina and L'Aquila.
