NATIONAL PREMIERE DEBUT AT THE LECITE VISIONI FESTIVAL OF THE FILODRAMMATICI THEATRE IN MILAN

Seven years ago, a young gay Neapolitan posted an invitation to a gay dating chat to play a game of five-a-side football. The first few people signed up, and within a few weeks, the "little game" became a regular occurrence, so much so that the boys decided to form a full-fledged team, calling themselves "Pochos," meaning "street urchins" in Spanish, in honor of the soccer player Lavezzi.

During a presentation evening attended unexpectedly by the press, the young footballers are forced to publicly address their homosexuality. Thus begins the "great night of the Pochos," in which each of them is forced to confront their fears. For many, that night marks the beginning of a journey of liberation.

Starting from this story, Benedetto Sicca has developed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EygL_JjM4oUto, within the Cantiere Sartoria of the Teatro Sannazaro, a space for experimenting with scenic writing, a creative residence which today becomes a new production: Pochos.

A show about our sexual habits, our desires, and our love of football, in which the audience is invited to reflect lightheartedly on their own sexuality and how desires can be a source of liberation.

Defend rights, support our work

Promote rights, actions, well-being, campaigns, demonstrations, monitor and put pressure on parliament and institutions so that in Italy there are increasingly more egalitarian policies and laws in favor of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transsexuals and intersexuals, coast. Arcigay tries to give body and reality to each of these objectives with specific programs and initiatives…that cost! This is why we ask you to support us.  You can do it with a one-time donation or with periodic donations even small amounts but which allow us to better plan our activities, with the 5×1000, with a legacy, by financing specific initiatives, by urging your company to support us… To your advantage, there are also tax breaks. You provide us with your support and trust. We provide our hard work, brains, and passion, and we're committed to keeping you informed about the progress of our joint work and how we'll invest your contribution.Because a better society is good for everyone, for you and for us.
