By popular demand, "Do Not Disturb – Theater in the Hotel" returns to the Hotel Palazzo Caracciolo on Friday, February 16th and Saturday, February 17th at 8:30 PM and Sunday, February 18th at 6:00 PM. This theatrical format, which takes spectators into hotel rooms, features Mariano Gallo and his artistic double, Priscilla, Italy's most famous drag queen, performing in "Nziria," a piece written by Claudio Finelli and Mario Gelardi, who also directed the show. The performance contrasts the private and artistic lives of a man who lives his life within the confines of his flamboyant double. Between memories and new encounters, Francesco Ferrante and Nello Provenzano will be on stage alongside Gallo.
‘'Nziria stars Mariano Gallo, better known to audiences as Priscilla, the famous drag queen and host of the Italian version of Drag Race. Two encounters and an interlude: the first segment, "Favolosi," written by Gelardi, recounts a sentimental and artistic upbringing: Priscilla meets one of her dancers who dreams of becoming a drag queen. A tender and confidential exchange between the two protagonists, who, while putting on their makeup, reveal their little secrets, allowing us to enter the spirit and world of drag queens. The show unfolds through the ironic dialogue between the two characters, which becomes a profound reflection on who we are and who we want to represent, becoming a declaration of personal freedom.
In the second episode, "A 'nziria" by Claudio Finelli, Mariano, having shed his drag persona, is visited by his brother at the hotel, bearing with him the weight of the past, memories, and broken family relationships. Family is an unbreakable bond that, despite disapproving of the eldest son's new life, kept secret for years, can only protect him from potential danger. Two brothers find themselves face to face, constantly swapping positions, each role feeling too tight for both.
