Do you want to become sexual health peer workerDo you want to volunteer and work on sex, health, and prevention in the LGBTI community? Arcigay is training and establishing groups of volunteers in some cities, including Verona and Padua, for local Arcigay committees that will gradually be established. trained on sexual health topics, even the most complex ones of sex and prevention, such as chemsex, and equipped with work tools for information and prevention activities in the community.
The first training block consists of 4 consecutive weekends, starting from September 22nd/23rd and ending on October 13th/14th, and will be held in Padua (the first 2 weekends) and Verona (the last 2 weekends). The key themes
of this training block will beTechnical and medical aspects of prevention; emotional, relational, and communicative aspects of sex; counseling in prevention and sexual health; political and cultural aspects of sexual health prevention; and aspects related to HIV stigma.
Each laboratory consists of 12 hours of training, structured according to these times:
Saturday: 9.30am – 1.00pm // 2.30pm – 7.00pm
Sunday: 9.30am – 1.30pm
For travel between cities, we'll organize group travel to keep costs down. The course is free, and lunch is included.
