We knew that the League represented the holocaust of intelligence, but there is a limit to everything.
Mara Bizzotto, a member of the European Parliament for the Northern League, surpassed it today, commenting on the important Bassano Pride event. According to Bizzotto, "That the Pride parade gay even passes on the Ponte degli Alpini, a sacred place for all the Alpine troops and the entire territory which represents the symbol of our city throughout the world, I consider it even more serious and unacceptable". Again: "Bassano deserves much more and better than seeing a gay pride parade through the city streets”.
We remind Bizzotto that Pride, throughout the civilized world, is a symbolic demonstration demanding rights, freedom, inclusion, and equality. That the League is accountable to democracy and must decide who crosses the Bassano bridge is reminiscent of the methods of the worst theocracies, Iran first and foremost.
In this sense, Imam Bizzotto evidently missed an excellent opportunity to remain silent.
