A constructive interview in which the candidate for the Lodge expressed interest in pursuing anti-discrimination policies, primarily through the dissemination of a culture of respect for diversity, with particular attention to gender inequality. Secondly, she is open to prevention and information policies regarding sexually transmitted diseases, expressing the need for a deeper cultural renewal, where sexuality is no longer seen as a taboo.
Finally, the candidate expressed her support for the legal protection of de facto couples through appropriate administrative measures. Anna Seniga has signed up to Arcigay.
Arcigay expresses its thanks to the candidates who spoke with us, who overall responded positively to the requests made.
Regardless of the election result, we hope for an ongoing and constructive dialogue between political forces and our association, recognizing the need to bridge the gap between citizens and politics that has grown inexorably in recent years.
We regret that only five of the ten candidates have responded to our appeal so far.
We remain available at all times, confident that the dignity, rights, and concerns of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community are essential to building an inclusive and democratic society.
The President of
Orlando, Arcigay Territorial Committee, Brescia
Federico Marchiori.
