Homosexual citizens of San Marino have the same right to cohabitation as heterosexuals. With 33 votes in favor and 20 against, two days ago the motion proposing to extend the possibility of cohabitation without discrimination was approved. Among the citizens of San Marino, homosexuals who wish to live with a person of another nationality will therefore also be able to regularly apply for a residence permit for their partner. While we await this approved motion to be enacted into law, we acknowledge that the small Republic of San Marino offers a great lesson in civility to our country.
We hope that this step forward on Mount Titano will have an impact on our country, which is still far from the Republic of San Marino and the rest of Europe.
