Bologna, October 8, 2013 – “It is with deep sadness that we learned of the tragic passing of Gabriele Scalfarotto, one of the founders of Agedo, the association of parents, relatives, and friends of homosexuals. Gabriele was one of the pioneering fathers in our country, one of the first to advocate for the rights of gay boys and girls. With determination and tenacity, he gave substance to his demands, contributing to the creation of an association of “proud” mothers and fathers. That pride was a balm for so many of us and sowed confidence in the future.
