Bologna, June 21, 2025 – Onda Pride 2025, the major demonstration in support of LGBTQIA+ rights organized by Arcigay and other local and national associations, reaches its peak today with nine demonstrations scheduled this weekend across Italy, over two days that will see thousands upon thousands of people take to the streets.
“"This year, our commitment transcends national borders," says Gabriele Piazzoni, Secretary General of Arcigay. "While we celebrate nine major Pride parades in Italy, we are organizing a delegation to participate in the Budapest Pride on June 28th, in solidarity with the Hungarian LGBTQIA+ community, oppressed by the Orbán government's homophobic policies and in open opposition to the regulations that seek to ban that event. We are also currently launching a special fundraiser to ensure that the Italian presence in Budapest is as colorful and visible as possible in this important mission of resistance.
