From September 8th to 12th,
Rieti will be tinged with rainbow colors thanks to the numerous Pride Week events leading up to the LGBT+ Pride March on September 13th. 
A week full of events, completely free, Designed to cover many themes in the most engaging way possible: together with the people involved!

All events are hosted by those Cafés in Rieti who wanted to support us on this journey (and we thank you!) because we want the chats, the talks, the workshops, the shows to create a special, intimate environment, Over coffee and tea, close to those who come to hear us; everyone, young or old, will be able to actively participate, ask questions, and feel like a protagonist, without the need for a stage to create distance.

We're off Monday 8th at 6pm at the Botanical Café in Piazza Cavour, with the talk “Beyond Blood: Family Queerness”. What is a family if not one that hugs you and pushes you to be the best version of yourself? Representatives of families usually considered “non-traditional” They'll meet to share their experiences, their daily struggles, and their dynamics. Come tell us about your queer family! 

Speakers will include: 

  • Genny Sangiovanni: Lazio-Abruzzo representative for Rainbow Families
  • Valeria Arriga: AGEDO parent – association of parents, relatives, friends and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans* people, + 
  • Rho: Parent and queer, non-monogamous person. She provides training and events on gender, sexuality, feminism, and anti-speciesism.

Tuesday, September 9th at 6pm We are waiting for you at’Holy Hemp Coffee Shop, at the “La Galleria” shopping centre in Rieti, where the author, cartoonist and blogger Laura Mango – The Sorrows of the Young Bookseller, will tell us how she and her wife organized their civil union between misadventures, bureaucracy, relatives and friends (and flowers, shoes and party favors!) through his hilarious comic book “How I Organized My Civil Union” (Asterisco Editions). Laura's experience will also, and above all, be an opportunity to understand how we arrived at the Civil Unions law in our country, what the struggles were, and what still can be done and demanded to break down all differences. It will be possible to purchase the book and receive a special dedication drawing from the author! 

Wednesday, September 10 it begins at 6pm, at the Municipal Exhibition Hall in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, with the inauguration of two exhibitions. “Beyond Blood: Family Queerness” with the works that participated in Arcigay Rieti's Call to Action. We asked artists to share, through their works and personal experiences, queer families, non-normatic emotional relationships, and spiritual communities born of love, solidarity, and shared choices. A visual ode to the diversity of the bonds that hold us together, beyond any traditional definition.

The exhibition “Presences that touch, bodies that remain” It was born instead as a development and re-staging of an exhibition project already presented within Polisemiə, a collective exhibition held in June 2025 in the San Lorenzo district of Rome, promoted by bar.lina and Le Tre Ghinee with the support of Action Aid. It brings together the works of Agnese Travaglini, Celeste Miraka, Tanek and Simone Friuli, This creates a mosaic of perspectives and visual narratives that directly and poetically address the normative impositions on the body, identity, desire, and relationships. The core theme focuses on the body as a political and poetic territory: not an object to be approved or shaped, but a living, complex, and ever-changing space.

At 8:00 PM we move to the Wally's Bar always in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, for the aperitif and following the show of Simonetta Musitano. transgender comedian, voice actress and author (appeared on Comedy Central and Propaganda Live) will be in Rieti to offer us a contribution taken from her show “A woman with balls”  The result of her first two years of stand-up comedy, it will focus on "a woman, very much a woman, a woman who isn't afraid to share her story with irony, making you laugh but also letting you see things through. A woman who wants to share what it means to be a woman in transition, before a cisgender man does it in her place.".

Thursday, September 11, at 5:30 PM at the Municipal Exhibition Hall of Rieti, Children aged 5 to 10 are invited to the workshop “What kind of identity?”. The volunteers of the’Krisalidea Association They will involve the young participants in reading children's books and in creative activities to provide an initial approach to recognizing gender stereotypes and some components of identity. 

At 8:00 PM We are waiting for you from Wine to Wine in Vicolo Arco S. Lucia with “IVG, I had an abortion and I feel great.”. Together with Federica di Martino, psychotherapist and transfeminist activist, we will talk about abortion, contraception, health and self-determination and how these issues are also intertwined with the rights of LGBT+ people. .

Always Thursdaythe there will be the inauguration of the “Identitas” exhibition”, open from 11th to 14th September, from 6pm to 8pm, in the rooms of Utopia APS whom we thank. A photography project by Aurora Massini, which brings together portraits of transgender people, the project's undisputed protagonists. The artist asked each subject to choose their setting, pose, and clothing, and to express themselves with a phrase accompanying each portrait. 

Friday, September 12 from 6pm, The Three Doors in Via della Verdura in Rieti hosts The Magic Violin”. . Ginevra Morsilli, A professional musician, street artist, trans woman, and parent, she will take us on an emotional journey through live music and lyrics, among the most beautiful soundtracks of international cinema. The underlying theme will be a powerful political message, the nature of which has always transcended time and space.  Morsilli has She has collaborated with several orchestras, including the RAI Symphony Orchestra of Rome and the RAI Light Music Orchestra of Rome, with which she has participated in several editions of the "Festival della Canzone Italiana" in Sanremo. She has been the musical director of numerous shows and proudly describes herself as a street performer. He lives in Rome, a city he loves deeply, with his partner.

After the concert, stay with us! 8:00 PM, always at the Tre Porte, we will go to discover the new issue of the Frisson magazine. Since 2019, Frisson has been talking about feminism, sexuality, rights, the LGBTQIA+ world, sex work, and much more. with an in-depth and intersectional perspective melting different visual languages (illustration, photography, graphic novel, and collage art) in a fresh and innovative, ironic, and never banal way. In the last issue we will also talk about menopause, about the end of the cycle as a political act, about trans and non-binary bodies and gynecological and reproductive health. [:]
