[:en]On the occasion of Transgender Day of Remembrance, the usual annual remembrance of victims of transphobia is taking place online, due to the difficulties related to COVID.
On November 20th at 6:00 PM we will remember the many people who have disappeared due to transphobia.
We will remember a young trans girl found lifeless in a mattress on the banks of the Tiber
We will remember Steffany, found lifeless on the side of the road in Tor Sapienza
We will remember a trans woman found dead in her apartment in Frosinone
We will remember Laura, found stabbed in a pool of blood in the EUR
we will find Ximena, found lifeless in Lake Nemi
We will remember Andrea, beaten to death at Termini station
and so we will remember the many other victims who have disappeared in recent years
A memory that will be joined by the reflections of many Lazio associations. A shared memory that can be a moment of unity, remembrance, and sharing. From Rieti to Latina. From Rome to Frosinone. From Viterbo to the Castelli Romani.
Let's not let the virus destroy the will to remember the many transgender people who have passed away.
