You can do it just by donating, and without spending a cent: it is in fact possible to ask the State to donate 5×1000 of your taxes to Arcigay. How? Simply enter the association's tax code.

in the designated space on the form attached to the 730, Unico, or Cud form. It is not necessary to also indicate the name of the association. The choice therefore remains reserved.

Don't know who to give your 8×1000 to?

THE'’eight per thousand It is the tax quota that the State, based on the choices made in the tax returns, distributes only between himself and the religious denominations. Arcigay supports the choice of 8×1000 in favor of Waldensian Church – Union of Methodist and Waldensian Churches.

Why the 8×1000 to the Waldensian Church?

  • Because also If you don't choose who to allocate it to, your 8×1000 will still be distributed between the State and the Religious Confessions in proportion to the choices expressed by others. For example, The Catholic Church wins approximately 801 TP3T of the votes each year expressed (and therefore the amounts) even if it was chosen by fewer than the 40% taxpayers. Your non-choice actually increases that 80%.
  • Why the Waldensian Church decided to use the 8×1000 funds solely for welfare, social and cultural projects or for projects in developing countries to be carried out in collaboration with international religious and secular organizations. The Waldensian Church declares that do not use the funds for religious purposes – religious and spiritual activities of the Church, construction of places of worship or for the maintenance of pastors.
  • Why such welfare, social and cultural projects:
    • they also come from members of civil society who have no relations with the Waldensian Church;
    • also concern LGBTI issues (Arcigay has in fact benefited from this in recent years with its programmes ProTEST And StayAPP!);
    • They are financed on the basis of a transparent project which results in rankings.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE 5×1000 (FAQ)

What is 5×1000?

It's 5 per 1000 of the IRE (Income Tax, formerly IRPEF), the taxes each taxpayer pays based on their personal income. For example, if you pay €1,000 in IRE in a year, your 5 per 1000 is equal to €5. Some people (e.g., self-employed professionals) pay this tax by filing their tax return using Form 730 or Unico. Others (e.g., employees) receive a notification, via Form CUD, of the payment deducted from their paycheck. You can designate an association to which the state will pass on 5 per 1000 of your taxes.

How do I donate it to Arcigay?

Arcigay is one of the organizations to which you can donate your 5×1000. To do so, simply sign and write the Arcigay tax code, 92017780377, in the box reserved for associations. (the first one on the top left) of the appropriate form. The form is attached to the 730, Unico, or CUD forms. If you did not receive it, you can request it from your employer or your pension fund (INPS, etc.). If you file the 730 or Unico form, you must submit the completed form along with the form. If you do not file a tax return and receive the CUD form, you must submit it in a sealed envelope by August 1st to the post office, bank, or other authorized intermediary (accountant, CAF, etc.).

But will I lose money if I donate it?

No. It's actually 5×1000 of the taxes you'd pay anyway. Donating it simply gives you extra freedom: you can decide for yourself what happens to this small portion of your taxes. If you don't express a preference about where it goes, your 5×1000 ends up in the state coffers along with the rest.

Do I have to write Arcigay on the declaration?

No. The name of the association does not need to be included on either your tax return or the tax return form. Instead, you must include its tax code. By entering, or having your accountant or someone else enter, the tax code 92017780377, your 5×1000 will go to Arcigay. The association will not receive personal information or information relating to donors' income.
