CAMPI BISENZIO: TRANS* PRIDE COMES TO THE TEATRODANTE

[:it]

Through the monologue of Vincent Vallon, Vice President of Arcigay Florence and spokesperson for Toscana Pride, we will talk about transgender visibility and pride.

Wednesday, April 5th, at 6:00 pm, at the Dante Theater Director Carlo Monni of Campi Bisenzio the monologue by and with Vincent Vallon will be staged "“Your son” on the occasion of the TDOV, Transgender Visibility Day, which recurs every March 31st. Through theater, the vice president of Arcigay Florence retraces his life, his growth in self-awareness, and his relationship with his mother, all with a simple and direct language that speaks of life and love.

“I was eight years old and a long struggle with myself was beginning. You knew, without telling me, the prison I was in.”

Being transgender is not a choice” says Vallon “"But it is the journey of gender affirmation that, in my case, represents me and has allowed me to find the right balance between my biological self and who I am. A transgender man who has known he was male since the age of 8 and came out to his mother without yet being able to name it."”

This event is part of a series of meetings on the LGBTQIA+ theme promoted by Pro Campi Pro Loco Campi Bisenzio and Arcigay Firenze Altre Sponde as a path of approach to Tuscany Pride 2023 which will be held in Florence on July 8th.

In this historical period, celebrating transgender people and raising society's awareness of the discrimination they suffer is still essential."” he states Mauro Scopelliti, President of Arcigay Florence “We find ourselves in a shocking political climate where the government is thinking about repressing, discriminating against, and limiting the freedoms of individuals, children, and families instead of expanding rights, abolishing privileges, and supporting the lives of all people.”

So the appointment is for tomorrow, Wednesday, April 5th at 6:00 PM, At the Teatrodante Carlo Monni in Campi Bisenzio, Piazza Dante 23, to listen, learn, and talk together about transgender people and their lives, with care and pride.
